Pros And Cons Of The 80/20 Diet
Life is all about balance.
Diets are hard. That’s why a lot of fitness and health gurus preach for a lifestyle change rather than a diet change. Diets seem to be very limited and require a lot of commitment and willpower – and let’s be real if you’re not used to it…failure is more likely.
The 80/20 diet has become super popular, letting you eat healthy whole foods 80% of the time and then gives you the other 20% to splurge within reason.
With everything…there are pros and cons. So let’s dive a little deeper into those.
Pros of the 80/20 diet
- It’s more sustainable than some diets
- Your social life isn’t as limited
- It leads to healthier habits
Cons of the 80/20 diet
- It’s easy to overestimate 20%
- It can be hard to stop indulging
- It involves significant food prep
It’s worth a try, right?
