There is a need to help our furry friends find loving homes in Charlotte and surrounding areas. All of our local radio stations with Beasley Media Group Charlotte would like you to help CMPD Animal Care & Control with our Rescue Mission! Adopt, don’t shop, by making CMPD Animal Care & Control your option for adoption.

Each week, we’ll post 8 dogs available for adoption and information regarding them. You can contact CMPD about an individual animal you see and begin your journey at adopting your next furry friend! Bring one home for the Season of Second Chances and add some cheer to your family with a new furry family member.

  Meet Genesis! She is a 8 year old, spayed female, Brindle Pit, weighing at 120 lbs. She is a sponsored adoption, meaning her fee is covered by the donor. She is a bonded paid with Waffles and we're hoping to get them a home together to live out the rest of their lives. Genesis is very low energy, house trained, great on leash, and very good manners (no jumping or barking). She is looking for a home to settle and relax in with Waffles and her owner(s).

  Meet Waffles, the bonded pair with Genesis. This 5 year old neutered male, 75lbs. gray put is looking for a home. He is a sponsored adoption as well and is also very low energy and house trained as well. He is not reactive and very sweet and loves Genesis more than anything else!

  Meet Macy! This 3 year old female black and white pit is weighing 50 lbs. and looking for a forever home! She is a sponsored adoption. Macy is affectionate, calm, sits nicely, loves treats, but her fur and skin will need a little TLC if you choose her.

  Meet Blueberry! This 1 year old spayed female, brown pit weighs 50 lbs. and looking for a home. She is sweet and chill and loves affection from her owner. She enjoys playing with her toys, loves getting belly rubs, and will gently takes treats if you want to share. She is reactive to dogs in the kennels, but may be a bit scared in kennels.

  Meet Cruise! This 6 year old, neutered male tan and white pit weighs 66 lbs. and looking for a home. He is a sponsored adoption and his fee is covered. Cruise is a gentle giant, but an old soul who enjoys snuggles, car rides, and a huge pup cup if you let him! He also is food motivated and although strong on leash, great with corrections. He doesn't do well with cats and will chase them, but can be around other dogs with slow interaction.

She doesn't chew on things around the house, pulls on a leash a bit, knows sit & down commands, and loves to dress up if you're wanting to put her in any outfits. Interested?
