Charlotte Events in November 2024
Charlotte has got lots of things to do in November. It gets a big chilly – daily high temperatures in Charlotte average around 67°F with the lows around 39°F, so it’s still fun to be outside. So we looked at some outdoor events to give you ideas for the weekends in November.

Whiskey, Wine & Fire Festival (Nov 2) – This foodie celebration will feature Whiskey Bars, Elegant Wines & Cocktails, Great Music, Tented Food Stations, Food Trucks, & Restaurants, and Intimate Firepits throughout. This event is outdoors.
Novant Health Thanksgiving Eve Parade (Nov 27) – The Novant Health Thanksgiving Eve parade is a Charlotte tradition with seven decades of history behind it. It has an impressive reputation as the fourth-largest parade in the country and the biggest in the southeast. In 2023, the parade drew over 100,000 live spectators and 1 million people watching the live broadcast from home.
Southern Christmas Show (Nov 14-24) – The 57th annual Southern Christmas show in Charlotte is a tradition dating back almost 60 years. The annual event has 420 booths of things to buy for the holidays.
The show includes a Christmas tree lane and a lot of great food. As a special treat this year, Karolyn Grimes, who played Zuzu in the classic movie It’s A Wonderful Life will appear in person to sign autographs and will make her debut at The Southern Christmas show on November 22 and 24th. It’s a lot of fun to be had by all.
Charlotte Turkey Trot (Nov 28) – The Charlotte Turkey Trot is celebrated as one of the 20 Best Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trots in America. The Turkey Trot is a Charlotte Thanksgiving tradition for the past 35 years. It’s the largest road race in North Carolina with a record 10,258 participants.
Rural Hill Sheepdog Trials and Dog Festival (Nov 2-3) – The Sheepdog Trials and Dog Festival at Historic Rural Hill is an annual event that showcases the incredible skill and intelligence of sheepdogs as they compete in a variety of challenges. There will also be a variety of pet vendors and dog adoptions.
Some Like It Hot at Belk Theatre (Nov 26-30) – The classic black and white romantic comedy Some Like It Hot bursts onto the stage in full technicolor during a new imagining of Billy Wilder’s 1959 musical mobster classic.
Disney Junior Live On Tour at Ovens Auditorium (Nov 26) – Perfect for the kids, Disney Jr. will be making its way around the United States in the Let’s Play Live tour, and will be bringing all your little one’s favorite characters to a stage near you. And if that’s not enough, for the first time Ariel, and SuperKitties, and Bitsy will be joining Mickey on stage for dances and songs.
Black Violin at Ovens Auditorium (Nov 10) – High school friends Kevin Sylvester (Kev Marcus) and Wilner Baptiste (Wil B) met in a Fort Lauderdale performing arts program as teens. While Sylvester plays the violin, Baptiste plays the viola, and together they create a distinct sound that rocked the hip-hop community.
Opera Carolina – Carmen at Belk Theatre (Nov 9-14) – To present the best in the performing arts and in partnership with others, people can share and employ the arts as a major catalyst to strengthen education, build community cohesiveness, and advance economic growth.
Justin Timberlake at Spectrum Center (Nov 14) – Justin Timberlake is one of the biggest pop stars of his day and one of the most entertaining live shows you can see. Justin will be bringing his “The Forget Tomorrow World Tour” to Charlotte.

Remember November is a cold month so wherever you may go, please have a coat and maybe some gloves ready to take with you.
As for parking, remember parking lots charge money and it may cost you a little bit more for the bigger the event.
Also, don’t forget to buy tickets in advance.
