McDonald’s Reveals It’s ‘Big Arch’ the ‘Biggest Burger Ever’
Several months ago, McDonald’s revealed plans to introduce a new “larger satiating burger” and they’re now revealing details about the upcoming burger named the Big Arch. According to Restaurant Business, the Big Arch features two patties, three layers of white cheddar melted cheese, crispy onions, slivered onions, and “tangy McDonald’s sauce.”
McDonald’s CEO, Chris Kempczinski said “It’s a quintessential McDonald’s burger with a twist on our iconic, familiar flavors.” It’s already being tested in three international markets including Canada and Portugal, and social media users are chiming in on what they think. One TikTokker said he wasn’t sure he could even finish it because “It’s massive, huge. I don’t know if I can even eat that. Holy cow, it’s like three pieces of cheese on that or something. What is happening?”
The new larger burger may be partially in response to McDonald’s price hikes and the introduction of their $5 Meal Deal to get more customers into restaurants since the company has seen its biggest sales declines since 2020. There’s no word on when the Big Arch will show up in the US, as they are seeing how it does overseas “before scaling more broadly internationally.”
