DiGiorno Teams Up With Deadpool And Wolverine For Four New Pizzas
This summer’s big new movie is Deadpool & Wolverine and DiGiorno is jumping on the bandwagon with the release of four new limited-edition pizzas to celebrate the release. According to Guilty Eats, Kimberly Holowiak, Senior Brand Manager for DiGiorno said: “This summer, we’re taking it up a notch by teaming up with Marvel Studios’ DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE to create limited-edition pizzas that fans won’t want to miss – so we encourage fans to get them while they can.”
Here are the four new pizzas that are available now:
- Maximum Pep – DiGiorno says this pizza is “made with maximum flavor and zero regrets – just like Deadpool’s decisions- Maximum Pep is piled high with sliced and diced pepperoni.” It’s a thin crust pie not unlike a regular pepperoni DiGiorno’s pizza.
- Spicy Wolvie Pie – described as “crafted with wolverine and other meat lovers in mind, this pie is stacked with pepperoni, chorizo and bacon.” It’s similar to the Maximum Pep pizza with some added flavor.
- The Wade Special – “A sweet and salty combo not just for mercs, made with pineapple and black olives to pay homage to Wade Wilson’s pizza in the first movie.” It’s not for everyone, maybe because of the pineapple, and it’s aimed for lovers of a sweet and salty combination.
- Gimme Chimi – since Deadpool loves chimichangas, this is “a chimichanga-inspired pizza that is a fiesta for your tastebuds and topped with spicy cumin sauce, beef topping, jalapeño, and cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.” This was the favorite of Guilty Eats reviewers despite it being very spicy.
All of the pizzas have a suggested retail price of $6.49 and every box except the Spicy Wolvie Pie comes with a cut-out Deadpool mask. In addition, fans can win a trip to Los Angeles by going to DiGiorno.com/deadpoolandwolverine through August 26 for a chance to win one of these prizes:
- A pizza party in Los Angeles where a private chef will make the limited-edition pizzas and you’ll also receive a stunt masterclass where you can learn katana combat moves, just like Deadpool.
- Merc merchandise including cool accessories and collectible swag.
- Fandango movie tickets to see Deadpool & Wolverine.
This promotion is called The DiGiorno Chaotic Good ‘Stakes and is “open only to residents of the 50 U.S. and DC, 18 or older (or 19 for residents of AL & NE, 21 for MS).”
