North Carolina Boy Gets Book Published And He’s Only A 4 Year Old
A 4 year old North Carolina boy from Craven County, has written his first book and it’s already been published. Bryan Patrick of New Bern is hoping to claim the title of the world’s youngest published author in the Guinness Book of World Records. How cool is that?
From an early age, young Bryan has been fascinated with the alphabet, and his parents have supported his interests with activities like family trips to the Alphabet Museum and creating an alphabet garden at home. In addition to being a writer, Bryan is an excellent reader and also knows how to do multiplication and division.
Basically Bryan is way better at school at age 4 than I was at 14! I love this kid! What great enthusiasm he has, I mean when I was 4 I was probably struggling to read let alone write a book! Bryan’s so smart at 4 years old, that his parents are trying to figure out what grade is most appropriate for him. He’s already blown past kindergarten levels in reading and math.
Apparently Bryan’s favorite letter is “B.” He even has a “B” cape he rocks from time to time! His parents are both teachers, so reading was most likely encouraged his whole life although they are quoted as saying he’s pretty much “self taught.”
The current world record holder is also a 4 year old boy
Bryan is a months younger than him so he can beat the world record! The book is called “There Was Once a Boy Who Swallowed the Alphabet.” To set the world record, he needs to sell 1,000 copies of his book, and they’re kicking off the effort with a book launch party this weekend.His parents are holding a book kick off party for him this coming weekend. I’ll definitely try and buy one online to help set the record!
