Charlotte Area Man And Woman Wanted For Assaulting Chipoltle Worker Over Chicken
Charlotte area Police are keeping an eye out for a man and woman who attacked an Indian Land Chipotle worker over chicken. The attack came after learning their order of additional chicken would come with an extra charge. Jamel Williams, 36, and Kayla Pyle, 34, reportedly placed an order inside the Indian Land South Carolina Chipotle.
That’s when things took a strange and aggressive turn.
The 20-year-old worker made the 2 aware that extra meat would cost more. That’s when an apparent aggressive back and forth broke out between employee and costumers. According to local authorities things only got worse.
When the employee took off early, shaken from the argument, Williams, who’s 6’3” and 300 pounds, walked towards the victim, pushing her to the floor and hitting her, according to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Office. Pyle then joined in and hit the victim as well. Arrest warrants have been issued charging Williams with assault and battery in the first degree and charging Pyle with assault and battery in the second degree.
The Lancaster Sheriff’s Office released the following statement: “We don’t know what was said between Pyle and the victim, but the victim was leaving for home and was chased down from behind by Williams and attacked in the dining room of the restaurant.” Sheriff Barry Faile said in a statement. “The assault was completely unjustified. I hope the victim has recovered from her injuries.”
Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office were able to identify Williams and Pyle with the help of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department. Law enforcement said witnesses got a description of the Dodge Charger and a tag number. Store video and video taken by a witness were also obtained. The 2 have been asked to turn themselves in.
I feel so bad for fast food employees who are yelled at and even worse verbally attacked. Especially over freakin meat or how much ketchup was on the burger! C’mon man!
