We all have our own idea about what “fun” is, whether it’s parachuting out of an airplane or sampling new cuisine in foreign countries. Having a good time can also be expensive, as the average American spends more than $34-hundred a year on entertainment, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Of course, some cities are considered more fun than others and new research reveals which ones they are.
- WalletHub’s report on the Most Fun Cities in the U.S. in 2023 has just come out.
- So, what makes a city fun? For their rankings, they compared 182 cities across the country on 65 key metrics in three main areas: entertainment & recreation, nightlife & parties, and cost.
- WalletHub rated each city on factors ranging from fitness centers per capita to the average business hours of breweries to the number of festivals per capita.
- For the third year in a row, Las Vegas has been named the Most Fun City in America.
- It comes in first for both entertainment & recreation and nightlife & parties, but it’s 78th for cost.
- On the flip side, the city that comes in last for fun is Pearl City, Hawaii, once again.
