The decision to become a parent or not isn’t one people typically take lightly, but when you choose to be child-free, outsiders don’t always understand why and they’re often not afraid to ask. According to Metro, that’s exactly why one woman took to social media to share the reasons she doesn’t want to have kids, but she may not have expected the response she got.
Ellie Gonsalves, a model and actress, recently posted a list of 117 reasons she doesn’t want to have children on Instagram. The 32-year-old has been in a relationship for 15 years and says she started the list after constantly being asked why she didn’t want kids. The reasons she shared with her 1.2 million followers include everything from “they are YOUR responsibility until the day you die” to “terrible twos” to “postpartum hair loss” to the gross fact that “they can poop inside you.”
The nay-sayers weighed in too:
While people praised Ellie for her “very honest and personal” take and called her “brave,” commenters also labeled her “self-centered” and said she would “regret it” when she’s “old and lonely.” She says she also got hundreds of DMs with strangers calling her “horrible” and “broken” for not wanting to be a mom and she hits back at those haters. “Just because you have kids doesn’t mean they will like you or even want to be around you when you’re old and potentially considered a liability,” Ellie says. “As an old lady I’m going to be enjoying life with a marg in my hand, going on my hot girl walks with my beautiful husband, 400 Pomeranians, and gossiping with all of the old biddys [sic] about THEIR kids.”

A man in Washington state was dog-sitting 10-week-old Rottweiler puppies. The challenge for him was to escape the puppy pen before they did. After several failed attempts, it looked like he was finally going to make it out without the chance of a puppy escaping. As he was running towards the gate he stumbled and faceplanted HARD.
