This is North Carolina’s Most Iconic Christmas Dish
Who’s hungry? I know I am. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we’re getting our taste buds ready for some good food! From family time to weekend prep, you might start making some of your favorite dishes around this time of year. Ever wondered why we don’t see some of this food throughout the year? I know I love certain holiday dishes and will request my dad to make them multiple times throughout the year.
When I moved to North Carolina, I learned about a few unique dishes myself. So, North Carolina has some iconic dishes that are quite popular. But, what are North Carolinians mostly known for? Besides Bojangles, there is quite a popular Christmas dish that you might enjoy here. Delish is named the most popular side dish in every state. Can you guess which dish made North Carolina’s list? North Carolina’s most iconic Christmas dish is cornbread dressing. Personally, I have never heard of it.
Cornbread dressing seems to be a mixture of goods such as cornbread crumbles, celery, onion, sage, and other veggies and herbs. It sounds like it could be a cool mixture of things depending on how you make it. I might look into this recipe and see if I can remix it with things I like on my own. What do you think? If you have ever had cornbread dressing, please let us know what you think about it. At this point, I am quite interested.
