Pittsburgh Airport Workers Find Passenger’s Lost Diamond
Thank god for insurance, but it is still scary to lose your engagement ring because a person’s wedding rings are priceless to the couple they belong to.
According to UPI, after flying into Pittsburgh International Airport from Las Vegas, Kristen and Brett Tunno were driving out of the airport in their car when she noticed the middle diamond was missing from her ring. The special ring had been given to Kristen by her 99-year-old grandmother, so she was desperate to find the missing gemstone.
Although they couldn’t be sure where along their trip the diamond had gone missing, Brett filed a missing property report with the airport, but he didn’t hold out much hope that the small diamond would be found. The next morning, airport employee April Laukaitis arrived to work early and saw the Tunno’s report. Searching based on the couple’s path through the airport, she miraculously located the diamond in a bathroom.
Laukaitis immediately reached out to information desk attendant Sharon Barley, who just so happened to be on the phone with Brett Tunno at that moment. Kristen expressed immense gratitude to the employees who searched for her diamond, stating it was remarkable they found it against such odds. She says the experience has provided a special memory that she can share with her grandmother.
