Drone Saves Blind Elderly Dog Missing For Days
Losing your dog can be a scary event but with modern technology locating your furry friends can be possible! According to NEWSWEEK, one man’s blind dog was found with the help of a drone.
We told you before about former police officer and drone enthusiast Phil James from Nottingham, England, and his nonprofit Drone To Home, which uses drones to help people reunite with their missing pets. Recently, Drone To Home successfully located an 11-year-old blind Labrador named Molly, helping to reunite her with her owner who’d been missing her for over three days.
Fearing that she might pass away after being gone for days, Molly’s owner desperately reached out to James’ search organization. Within hours of being on the job, the drone search and rescue team spotted the dog and were able to quickly reunite her with her owner.
The heartwarming reunion was shared on social media where it’s racked up nearly 400-thousand views and has been liked by over 20-thousand. “We were informed only today and within 2 hours we found her and reunited her to her delighted owner,” Drone To Home shares, “She was jumping like a puppy when her farmer owner spoke to her after getting out the car.”
Drone To Home provides assistance or advice about missing animals around 40 times per day and since its inception in 2019, the organization has helped to reunite over 24-hundred missing dogs with their owners.
