Flight Attendant Saves Couple’s Honeymoon By Flying To Get Passport
A couple from Michigan almost had to cancel their honeymoon, but a flight attendant saved the day by flying to get the bride’s passport. Earlier this year, newlyweds Lawryn and Joe Fellwock were on the plane heading from Detroit to Puerto Rico, then on to a Caribbean cruise the next day. They were just about to take off when the bride realized she didn’t have her passport.
Lawryn was “inconsolable” about forgetting it and the couple tried to brainstorm how they could get the passport and still make it on the cruise, but they couldn’t figure out how to make it happen in time. The Fellwocks shared their predicament with one of the flight attendants, Dusty Dills, who stepped up and volunteered to retrieve the forgotten passport. The trio then came up with a plan, which they dubbed “Operation Honeymoon Passport” and here’s how it went down according to Brides:
- Dusty was flying back to Detroit after that flight, so he said if the couple could have the passport at the airport when he landed, he’d bring it with him the next day to Atlanta.
- Another flight attendant would then continue the mission by bringing it from Atlanta to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
- So Joe’s sister got Lawryn’s passport to the airport, found Dusty and handed it off.
- Dusty flew it to Atlanta, passed the passport to another Delta employee, who flew it to Puerto Rico and gave it to the newlyweds an hour and a half before they departed for their cruise.
“I consider that the greatest wedding gift we could have asked for,” says a grateful Lawryn. “I felt like probably the luckiest bride on Earth.”
