As we're slowly approaching Christmas, we're getting excited! The holidays are some of the best times of the year and that's even more exciting. I enjoy being able to look around and see all of the holiday lights and decor. But, also the family time. Spending time with my family is my favorite part of the year and that's the most fun. From our fun game nights to making cocktails to telling family stories, it's always a great addition to the holidays.

Some families enjoy traveling for the holidays. Which is nice when you want to get out of your area and explore somewhere new. But, there are a few Carolina towns especially great to enjoy during Christmas. Whether you are from these areas or want to plan a visit, the holidays are calling for you. Good Housekeeping gathered their list of 36 of the best places to spend Christmas with your family. Up first, our North Carolina town that made the list is McAdenville. McAdenville is known as "Christmas Town USA" so that should say it all. During the holiday season, they transform this town into the perfect winter wonderland. If you're in South Carolina, then you should head to Charleston. Now, this is my hometown so I do see why we're on this and every other list. During Christmas, we get to enjoy light displays, festive neighborhoods, lights on buildings, and Christmas shops throughout town. Christmas time is already my favorite, so no wonder I enjoy my hometown sometimes.

If you were contemplating traveling this holiday season then you may want to head to one of this spectacular places. See what the other 34 places that made the full list here.

These Christmas Songs Are Proven To Increase Productivity

Everywhere you go there is Christmas music playing! It's the most wonderful time of the year. There are only so many Christmas songs, just 100s of versions of each. So you're bound to hear a song many many times throughout the season. And certain ones will catch your attention no matter what you are doing at that moment. Maybe it's that never ending to do list and the fact that you really have no choice. But do you ever feel like you are just a little more productive around the holiday season? There might be a reason for that. Certain Christmas songs have actually been proven to increase productivity. It's true! Scientists believe that songs with beats per minute (BPMs) paced at 50-80 are best for productivity. These songs make great background noise helping listeners to be calm and alert while increasing concentration.

With this in mind, our friends at Workamajig, a project management software company,  analyzed the BPM of the most played holiday songs. In doing so they were able to determine those that are the most conducive to productivity. On this list, you'll find a lot of holiday classics by "the greats". We are listening to songs from Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Andy Williams, and more.

Do you find these songs help you get more done? Chances are you at least found this article distracting enough to read it but hopefully, you are getting a lot done this season.  These are the 10 most Christmas songs that have the most positive impact on your productivity.
