Looks like Airbnb is cracking down on some of their stays for New Year's weekend. Airbnb is placing restrictions on stays in South Carolina in an effort to crack down on all of the unauthorized partying for the New Year's weekend. News 2 in Charleston reports that Airbnb made the announcement earlier this week to prepare for the New Year's weekend.

According to the report, first-time bookers and guests without good account history will not be able to book entire home listings for a one-night stay over the holiday weekend. If you are thinking about throwing a house party for New Year's, think again. The company has been working to ban parties and large events from their listings. Airbnb says that more than 1,400 people were deterred from booking home listings in South Carolina over New Year's 2021. Talk about a fun party weekend! Airbnb also has similar policies in place over Memorial weekend, Fourth of July, and Halloween weekend. No more Airbnb parties ladies and gentlemen!
