LauRen and Her Family Got Lost In The Woods
I have lots of talents, but having a good sense of direction is not one of them! I have lived in Charlotte for almost 10 years now, and I still use my GPS almost every day.
This past weekend when my husband and I took our kids down to Palmetto Bluff for a couple of days, we had no idea what was in store. After getting off to a rough start (I forgot my suitcase with all of my clothes for the weekend, and Jaxson locked us out of our hotel room), we decided to take the kids on a short bike ride. Since the boys are only 2 and 5, we thought a pull-behind wagon was a better idea than individual bikes.
When we started down the trails on our way to what we thought was a shopping village, we were surprised when the paved trail turned to gravel and then sand. After about an hour with no village in sight, Dallas and I concluded we were lost. We called and sent the S.O.S. to our hotel, but they had no idea where we were. We had to find a landmark before we could be rescued.
