A ponytail ban? Yup. Japanese schools have had a “white-only underwear” policy for a while. Now they’ve introduced a new ban for grade-schoolers to follow.
Female students are now banned from wearing their hair in ponytails because the “nape of their necks” could “sexually excite” male students!
What the what!?
It doesn’t stop with just rules on ponytails and underwear color. Schools in Japan enforce other restrictions like the color of children’s socks, skirt length, the shape of their eyebrows. If a student’s hair isn’t “black or straight,” they must show proof that it’s their natural hair color.
No more complaints about schools here in the US from me! Hahaha
