Meet The First Ever Mohol Bush Baby Born at the Duke Lemur Center
Brace yourself, because I’m not sure if you can handle all this cuteness. Meet little Coconut Palm.
This bright-eyed and bushy-tailed creature is the very first Mohol bushbaby (Galago moholi) born at the Duke Lemur Center. Bushbabies are not lemurs, but they are also prosimian primates. Coconut Palm was born on March 3rd, 2021, and weighed less than half an ounce. This was a healthy newborn weight for this tiny species.
“Since Coconut Palm is an only child, he has grown quickly. Mom is able to focus all her attention on feeding, grooming, and communicating with her adorable infant.”
