A Raleigh Chef and Lenovo Help North Carolina Kids During COVID-19 Pandemic
Paying it forward is something we all should try to do during this difficult time. Chef Scott Crawford and Lenovo did just that. Raleigh’s Green Chair Project operates to make sure kids have beds in the Triangle area. The non-profit supplies beds to children who don’t have them in addition to furniture to families in need.
This year, Lenovo committed $175,000 to help the organization to help fund purchasing beds for nearly 6,000 children in need. Then after COVID-19 has swept our world, Chef Crawford and Lenovo learned that Green Chair clients needed more than just beds. Volunteers found that children were hungry with school closed and providing their main meal.
Now, Chef Crawford and Lenovo paired up to create nutritious meals boxed up to deliver to the families. If you’d like to pay it forward and act in helping the Green Chair Project, click here.
