There’s A Percentage Of Americans Who Believe People Should Wear A Mask During Intercourse

Here we are, in the middle of a pandemic. If you’re in South Carolina then you’re wearing a mask as you see fit, but if you live in North Carolina then you are on orders to wear a mask anytime in public when you are unable to social distance.

But with a pandemic, comes news findings and new studies. This is awesome because we’re no experts on The MRL Morning Show…so anytime someone can give us numbers or statistics…we’re like little kids because you can’t argue with the numbers! So here’s a new study that definitely caught our eye.

6% of Americans believe people should wear a mask during intercourse. That is right. If you are in a room of 100 people, 6 of those people will wear a mask when they have intercourse.

Ella Paradis is a trusted source for adult products and they released a new study examining whether Americans will listen to recent health guidelines for safe sex during COVID-19, including wearing a mask during intercourse. The answers from our diverse correspondents may surprise you.

Here are some findings:

  • 18% said they would get tested for COVID-19 within 5-7 days after sexual intercourse with a new partner
  • 6% of correspondents believe people should wear masks during intercourse
  • 57% of correspondents would still have intercourse with a partner even if they couldn’t kiss or face their partner during
  • 54% do not believe wearing a mask will help prevent the spread of COVID-19
  • 5% of correspondents will wear masks during intercourse post-pandemic, 83% won’t
  • 40% will wait longer to have intercourse with a partner post-pandemic than they did before
  • People are more concerned about contracting an STI/STD (26%) than contracting COVID-19 (19%) from sexual intercourse
  • 38% of correspondents believe the pandemic has or will hurt their romantic connections
  • 24% of those surveyed will change their eating habits post pandemicMethodology:
