Charlotte Womens March is This Weekend and You Can Still Join
Charlotte is gearing up for the annual women’s march this weekend on Saturday, January 25th. The Women’s United March kicks off at 11 am at First Ward Park. Charlotte’s own women’s march falls on the heels and mirrors that of the national women’s march held in Washington DC.
The Women’s United March aims to gather “women of different races, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identification, and socioeconomic status,” to ultimately “address issues facing women and to demand change.” A handful of speakers are expected to speak on various topics including climate change, reproductive rights, immigration, and gun violence.
Registration is encouraged to those wishing to attend the march. For more information click here!
