4 Places to Volunteer with Animals in Charlotte
Give back to all those furry/scaley/fishy babies in need!
I love animals. (Sometimes more than people) so I started thinking of where I good go to give back in the Charlotte community.
I knew a friend of mine volunteered on the weekends at the Humane Society of Charlotte, but I did some deep searching to find some additional places you can volunteer with animals here in the QC!
Humane Society of Charlotte: Volunteers are the heartbeat of what they do! There are a bunch of different volunteer positions here where you can interact with the animals. Click here for more information.
Carolina Raptor Center: I have been to this place a few times and it’s so cool! The Carolina Raptor Center offers an Adult Volunteer Program that is a weekly 4-hour commitment, a Volunteer Group program that is a one-time 2+ hour commitment, and Transport Volunteering that is an on-call basis. Click here for more information.
Fostering through CharMeck: This is such an amazing opportunity. You can foster week-old puppies and kittens. You can find out more on the process and volunteering by clicking here.
Greater Charlotte SPCA: Such an amazing place. The Charlotte SPCA works with homeless animals, providing veterinary care, foster families, humane education, and spay/neuter programs. Click here for more information.
