Mark Wahlberg left Ballantyne at the alter!
No “good vibrations” for us in Ballantyne, after Wahlburgers falls through! 
In a small but yet sad bit of news, Rea Farms in Ballantyne announced that a once-planned Wahlburgers restaurant is no longer coming. Mark, Donnie, and Paul Wahlberg launched Wahlburgers outside Boston in 2011. The restaurant’s menu includes burgers, sandwiches, and salads, along with signature items such as tater tots and floats. The burger joint that’s part of A&E’s reality show by the same name was slated to open in a location on Rea Rd. I would drive past the empty space often, looking for any sign of construction since they announced plans to open in the Fall of 2018…I assumed the burgers probably wouldn’t be that good, but it would still be a cool place to hit every once in a while. No word as to why they decided to pull out, maybe the fact that a Shake Shack, Five Guys, and Smash Burger are all in the same 1-mile radius had something to with it.
