The Most Popular 2024 Halloween Costumes In North Carolina

What are the most popular 2024 Halloween costumes? We are just over 2 weeks out until Halloween. Normally I'm the planner in life, but when it comes to Halloween costumes I'm almost always trying to pull something together at the last minute.

So if you're like me and need some inspiration or what to be (or not to be) this year, keep reading.

In honor of spooky season or friends at BetCarolina recently released their predictions on the most popular 2024 Halloween costumes in North Carolina. This is according to data from Google Trends.

The search period was filtered to a 30-day span within North Carolina on October 1, 2024.

Now whether or not you want to go with a popular costume (or you want to try to avoid showing up dressed as the same thing as your friends) is up to you. Personally when it comes to classics (see the witch, ghost, etc) I'm ok with not being the only one. Especially if it's something I just threw together. But if I'm going to spend a lot of time on something, I prefer it to be unique at least in the setting I'm celebrating.

So perhaps this isn't the year to go as Wednesday Adams, Beetlejuice, or Deadpool. But ultimately you have to do what makes you happy. Most years I wear some form of animal ears or hat and an old dance costume.

We are just 11 days out from Halloween. But who is counting? Do you have your costume ready? What about costumes for the kids? Is the house decorated and candy bought? That's all a good start. But don't forget about another Halloween tradition. If you’ve got kids chances are you’ve gotten invited to at least one trunk-or-treat party this Halloween season. The activity is essentially trick or treating on steroids as it’s confined to one small area so the amount of candy you can get in a short time is endless. Churches, sports teams, and even some schools love this tradition and it’s easy to see why. It wasn't really a thing when I was young enough to trick or treat, but I sure wish it was. But if you are going to participate in trunk or treat, your car has to look the part and coming up with ideas can be hard.

Besides the endless amounts of candy, one of the best parts of Trunk or Treat is the decorated cars. I’m not even sure how people come up with some of these trunk-or-treat ideas. But if you’re like me and maybe not the most creative (but I can 100% recreate other people’s ideas lol) then this is the list for you! Hopefully, it will provide some inspiration for you.
