Your Boo Probably Likes Talking To Strangers More Than You
Are chats with your partner not exactly podcast-worthy? You’re not alone. A new study has found that when it comes to conversation, most people in relationships would prefer talking up a stranger than the person they share a bed with. Harsh.
Simply put, talking to somebody new is easier than a SO. Lots of our conversations with our boo involve the logistics of plans, our responsibilities, or are full-on arguments. Meanwhile, the studies co-author and Harvard Ph.D. student Adam Mastroianni says “when you talk to someone new, you become sort of the best version of yourself, and it’s kind of fun to be that self.”
So if you’re looking to add more ‘fun’ in your life, ignore your parent’s orders and start talking to more strangers. You might just want to avoid doing it where your boo can see you or your conversations with them will become extremely interesting, very fast. And a lot of them will start with ‘who the hell have you been talking to?’
