This Is An All Time Low:Wedding Videographer Won’t Return Deposit
A wedding photographer is being blasted as heartless over their actions regarding a cancelled wedding.
Justin Montney planned to marry Alexis-Athena Wyatt earlier this month in Colorado Springs, but Alexis was tragically killed in a car accident this past February. While most wedding vendors returned the refunds because of the circumstances surrounding the canceled wedding, the couple’s videographer was not so understanding. In fact, not only did they not give back the money, they mocked Justin publicly over his request.
Justin says when he contacted their videographer, Copper Stallion Media, to get his $1,800 deposit back, the company refused to return the money because it was non-refundable. Then last week Justin reached out again and told the company he planned to tell friends and post about what happened on social media, which is when things got crazy.
Cooper Stallion Media soon threatened to sue not only Justin but his fiancée’s family, who had reviewed the company on the Knot website. Justin then went to the local news, and the videographer mocked Justin on Facebook writing, “we hope you sob and cry all day for what would have been your wedding day. Sorry, not sorry.” WOWWWW!
The Internet soon came down hard on the videographer, which then reportedly created a website, JustinMontney.com, “to build our case against” the grieving groom, suggesting he created a “smear campaign” against the company (that content has now been removed).
After the local news report ran the vendor received over 75 one-star reviews on Yelp and the Knot, and also received voicemails bashing them. This is getting ugly!
