Where you live after you retire can make a big difference in how far your money goes. According to WalletHub, new research reveals the places that will help make your savings go further.
- WalletHub has just released their list of the Best and Worst States to Retire in 2024.
- They ranked each state on 46 key indicators of retirement-friendliness, including financial factors like tax rates and the cost of living, as well as things like access to quality medical care and weather.
- Topping the list as the best state to retire in is Florida, once again.
- The Sunshine state is number one in the quality of life category and fourth for affordability.
- Alabama, 24th overall, is first for affordability, while Minnesota, eighth overall, is number one for health care.
- Kentucky comes in last overall, making it the worst state to retire in, landing near the bottom of the health care and quality of life categories.
