Americans have put more thought into what they’d like to inherit after a loved one’s death than what will happen to their assets when they die, new research suggests. Maney used to do this with his Mom and I remember getting so mad at him for planning what he wanted to take. He even used to take money from his parents because his Dad told him it's his inheritance and he could have it now or later!

According to SWNS Digital and a poll of 2-thousand U.S. adults, they’d rather get a passed down pet than a car, but it’s not the thing they want most.

The survey reveals:

  • The top assets people would like to inherit one day from a loved one are a house or property (65%), a pet (59%), money (58%) and a car or collectibles (53%).
  • While they’ve given thought to what they’d like to receive, 32% haven’t considered what happens to their assets when they die.
  • Almost half (45%) of respondents have a will or are included in someone else’s estate plan (46%).
  • Half (51%) expect they’ll inherit something from a loved one and more prefer valuable heirlooms (44%) than sentimental ones (27%).
  • But some folks already know the most sentimental thing they’d like to have passed down from a loved one, with responses ranging from “My dad’s ring” to “A coin from my father that was very important and personal to him,” to “Photographs of my family and the special moments I can go look at to remind of a simpler time and the moments of good memories.”
  • Two in five of those polled admit they would be jealous of relatives who inherited more than they did.
  • People would rather save their money for future generations than spend it all while they’re alive (47% compared to 30%).

And I am officially doing the wrong thing with my life. Yes, I post occasionally on TikTok but I've yet to make a penny off of that. But if you're doing it correctly, you can be making a pretty penny. And one of the most popular types of accounts on the social media platform? Dogs. There are tons of dog influencers on TikTok and many of them are quite successful. The hashtag "dog" has a whopping 413.8 billion views with #dogsofTikTok and #dogs each having well over 100 billion views as well. That's a billion with b. But more important in the world of influencers than views is engagement rates (likes, comments, shares, etc) which these canines are also racking up.

Our friends at Pet Portraits conducted a study on the most financially successful dog influencers on TikTok. And yeah, I'm in the completely wrong career field. These dogs are racking up what I make in a week in one post. To come up with these dollar amounts Printed Pet Memories used an Influencer Marketing Calculator (didn't know that existed) to figure out what they can earn per sponsored TikTok post. Anyone have a dog I can borrow? Keep reading to see who the most successful dog influencers are, a cute video of them, as well as what they can bring in per post.
