Americans take their barbecue seriously and everyone has their own idea about where you can find the best barbecue, and I think it’s in North Carolina! LawnStarter is weighing in on the debate, sharing their take on the best barbecue cities in the U.S.
- The lawn care company compared the 200 biggest cities on 20 metrics related to good barbecue, including access to tasty barbecue vendors, customer ratings, competition awards and the number of barbecue festivals.
- Number one is Kansas City, Missouri, which comes in first for Hosting and Elite Barbecue Memberships, and has the most barbecue festivals.
- Three cities in Missouri make the top 10 this year, Kansas City, St. Louis and Springfield.
- On the flip side, Patterson, New Jersey, and Yonkers, New York, tie for last place with an overall score of zero, making them the worst cities for barbecue.
