But some cities offer better value and quality of life for renters and new research reveals which ones those are. RentCafe’s ranking of the best places for renters in 2023 has just come out.
I personally loved renting. You don’t need to fix anything, and in some cases you don’t even need to own a lawn mower! The landlord covers all that! The downside of course is you don’t own so you don’t have equity. But some people need to rent even if it’s for the short term.
- To come up with their list, Rent Cafe compared 140 U.S. cities in 20 metrics including apartment quality, local economy, traffic, air quality, job growth, the cost of living and unemployment rate.
- Charleston, South Carolina, tops the list, and comes in third for apartment quality and cost of living and fifth for local economy.
