When a team plays in their own stadium in their city it's referred to as a "home" game. The venues these teams play in become a home not only for the team but for their fans as well. And our friends at USBettingReport.com posed the question, what if they were really homes? My first thought went to the Baker Mayfield commercial where he "lived" in the Browns stadium. But it's an interesting question. Stadiums are usually in pricey neighborhoods, whether they were built there or their existence increased property values. So USBettingReport took the square footage of stadiums around the country and multiplied that by the median price per square foot in the neighborhood they are located in. This gave them the hypothetical stadium cost for venues around the country. We have three major professional sports venues in North Carolina, here's how much they would cost.

They analyzed a total of 111 stadiums and arenas across the country.

Here's the stadium cost in this hypothetical situation for the 10 most expensive in the country:

  1. Madison Square Garden- New York, NY ($1.829 billion)
  2. SoFi Stadium- Inglewood, CA ($1.826 billion)
  3. Levi's Stadium- Santa Clara, CA ($1.565 billion)
  4. Barclays Stadium- Brooklyn, NY  ($1.098 billion)
  5. Chase Center- San Francisco, CA ($1.098 billion)
  6. TD Garden- Boston, MA ($800.3 million)
  7. Petco Park- San Diego, CA ($796.4 million)
  8. Kaseya Center- Miami, FL ($791.3 million)
  9. Empower Field at Mile High- Denver, CO ($778.6 million)
  10. Ceasars Superdome- New Orleans, LA ($768.1 million)
