Major news from the college basketball world today, as the University of North Carolina men’s basketball coach Roy Williams has announced he is retiring after 33 years in the college game.

The school has announced a news conference for 4 p.m. today for Williams to address the media.

Williams finishes his career with 903 wins, including a 485-163 record at UNC. Before he was with the Tarheels, he was the third-winningest coach in Kansas basketball history.

Williams led the Tarheels to three national championships, in 2005, 2009, and 2017, and was in nine Final Fours overall between Kansas and UNC.
