Bo Jackson Has Been Battling The Hiccups For A Year
Bo knows…hiccups. Just ask Heisman Trophy-winning running back Major League Baseball player Bo Jackson. According to the NY Post he has been battling a case of hiccups for almost a year now. During a recent interview with on “McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning,” Jackson said he’s getting a medical procedure to try and remedy this problem.
And the poor guy has tried everything. Jackson admitted, “I have done everything — scare me, drink water upside down, smell the a** of a porcupine, it doesn’t work.” The former KC Royal and Raider even missed an event dedicating a statue to baseball Hall of Famer Frank Thomas last month because of this horrible ordeal.
The Mayo Clinic describes hiccups as “repeated spasms or sudden movements in the diaphragm that you can’t control.” Since they usually last anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours, it’s advised that anyone dealing with hiccups longer than a couple of days should go seek medical assistance.
