America is pretty old, right? We've been here for quite some time. In America, some of the oldest cities that some of us call home are those that were here before the Revolutionary War. These cities are not only the oldest but they are home to some of the most historic and beautiful moments.

USA By Numbers curated the list of the 15 oldest cities in America. Yes, the majority of these cities have been around since most of us were alive. But it's good to know which are some of the oldest in the country. The Carolinas are both pretty old, so we can only imagine how old the cities are in each state. South Carolina is home to one of America's oldest cities. Not only is it the oldest, but it's where I call home. Charleston, South Carolina is one of the oldest cities in South Carolina but also the country. Charleston came in at No. 11 and was founded in the 1600s. Clearly, before any of us were even here.

Charleston is full of historic places and cultures. From Gullah Geechie to an International African American Museum to the Charleston market. If you have not been to Charleston then you are probably missing out and if you have been to Charleston then you know what it means. Click here to see the full list of the oldest cities in America.
