“Healthy” is a word that probably means something different to people around the world.

The survey results show:
- Out of all 195 countries in the world, Japan gets the most votes for the healthiest country with 15%, followed by Switzerland (12%), Sweden (12%), Norway (10%) and New Zealand (9%).
- More than three-quarters (78%) of all respondents say they currently feel healthy.
- Out of the eight countries included in the poll, respondents from Spain (91%), Brazil (86%) and the U.S. (86%) rank highest for currently feeling healthy. Respondents from Germany reported the most unhealthy, with 33% rating themselves as being “very unhealthy.”
- As for how they define “healthy,” most respondents say it’s being physically fit (31%), exercising regularly (31%), being emotionally happy (30%) and getting enough sleep on a regular basis (30%).
- Those surveyed from the U.S. show an awareness of the connection between body and mind when it comes to health, as their definition of “health” is both exercising regularly (32%) and being emotionally happy (24%).
- Respondents from South Korea say health is all about being stress-free (48%), those from New Zealand say it’s critical to get proper sleep (34%) and Australian participants define it as eating plenty of fruits and veggies (36%).

- Nearly half (44%) of U.S. respondents have picked up good habits since the start of the pandemic and 66% say they’ve developed at least five new habits that are now part of their daily routine.
- People also shared what they’d be willing to give up instead of making the healthy changes necessary to lose weight, including their favorite streaming apps for a year (20%), two weeks of vacation (20%), sex for a year (20%) and social media for a year (18%).
