Charlotte Is Home To The Best Ramen In North Carolina
Ramen is a Japanese noodle dish that consists of Chinese-style wheat noodles served in a meat-based broth, often flavored with soy sauce or miso, and uses toppings such as sliced pork, nori, and scallions. There are thousands of variations of the dish, making it a highly craveable dish.
I, personally, crave it at least once a week. Whether it’s hot or cold outside it’s the perfect comfort food. I, like many, am a creature of habit so once I find a place that I enjoy I typically just go back instead of venturing out and trying new places. That’s why I am so happy LoveFood exists. They did all of the heavy lifting to find out which restaurant offers the best dish in each of the fifty states.
If you are in North Carolina then you need to visit Roppongi Ramen Bar here in Charlotte! Their Spicy Miso Ramen has won them the best of it’s kind in North Carolina!
LoveFood says, “Industrial decor sets the tone for this modern Japanese restaurant in Charlotte. The menu is small and considered, with fried chicken and tasty gyoza joining a handful of traditional ramen dishes. Plump for Spicy Miso Ramen, which is hailed by diners as the best around. Pork chashu (braised pork) is paired with a chicken and dried seafood broth, which is lifted with a homemade soybean paste.”
We can’t talk about North Carolina without talking about South Carolina. If you are in South Carolina, or even still in Charlotte, then your drive to find the best noodle dish will take you to Columbia, South Carolina!
LoveFood named the Spicy Ramen dish at Menkoi Ramen House the best in South Carolina!
LoveFood says, “Menkoi Ramen House in Downtown Columbia serves all the traditional ramen bowls, from a creamy Tonkotsu to a moreish Chicken Ramen. Yet, the Spicy Ramen, topped with roast pork, vegetables, and nori, takes the crown again. Some diners even say it’s the best they’ve ever had – with just the right amount of heat.”
