Well Known Charlotte Place Named Best Burger in North Carolina
A very much loved restaurant in Charlotte was named the best burger in North Carolina. Brooks’ Sandwich House in the NoDa neighborhood reps all of North Carolina on the list.
The “Best Burger in Every State” list was released recently by Readers Digest.
The article says this about Brooks’:
“The cash-only spot has been open since 1973, and it knows how to treat your taste buds, so order as recommended: ‘all the way.’” “That means topped with mustard, onions, and a helping of smoky beef chili. But don’t make a weekend trip out of it, as the place is open only Monday through Friday.”
Locally we all heard about Brooks’ when founder Scott Brooks was shot and killed while opening the shop early in the morning in 2019.
We had the family in the studio not long after and hit em for lunch quite often!
One more thing… South Carolina’s best burger is found at Grill Marks, with locations in Greenville and Columbia, according to the list.
