Woman Has Leg Amputated After Paper Cut 17 Years Ago
Rebecca Humphreys according to The Sun got a small cut on her foot when she jumped down from her windowsill as a 15-year-old. She landed on a porcelain ornament and spent the next 17 years in extreme pain. The cut became so infected that doctors told her it would have to be amputated, but teenage Rebecca said no.
Doctors didn’t believe her when she said that it was still hurting years later, and was eventually diagnosed with complex regional pain syndrome. Doctors finally agreed to amputate her leg. She says that as soon as she woke up her pain was gone, and now hopes to get off painkillers.
Hmm. So don’t let those small cuts and pains stick around too long! #themoreyaknow
