Woman Goes Viral For Wedding Rules But She’s Not Even Engaged
A woman has gone viral for her list of wedding rules, but the thing is … she’s not even engaged yet. But that’s not stopping Kennedy Marksfrom sharing what she expects of her guests when she does tie the knot one day. According to The New York Post, in a TikTok video, she says she’s been planning her wedding since she was eight years old, so she’s “accumulated a good list.”
In her clip, which has racked up more than a million views so far, Kennedy says her boyfriend, Rhys [[Reese]], isn’t planning on proposing anytime soon. But when he does, she already knows the do’s and don’ts for her wedding guests. She admits the rules may seem harsh, but because weddings are “so expensive,” she’s going to be a “perfectionist” on her big day.
- The list of 13 rules starts off with a basic that should be the standard at all weddings: only the bride wears white.
- Number two is that no kids are allowed, unless they’re approved by her.
- She also warns guests shouldn’t assume their invitation gets them a plus one.
- Kennedy considers the fourth rule “a very big one” – No big announcements, like pregnancies or engagements. “Please, for the love of God, do not take the attention away from me,” she says.
- Other rules include not grabbing the mic, not being rude to staff, and not stressing her out.
- Also not allowed? “Boring people.” She explains, “If you’re not going to get up and dance with me … then sadly, I don’t want you there. I don’t want to pay all that money for you to just be boring.”
- She also doesn’t want to be introduced to anyone on her wedding day, so if she and Rhys haven’t met someone, they’re not invited.
- As for a dress code, she’s taking a relaxed approach and says “Guests can wear whatever they’re comfortable in.”
