Here We Snow Again More Snow Predicted For Charlotte
As your official “KISS 951 weather lover,” I need to keep you updated haha! Snow is on the way!!
If you’re a winter weather lover, particularly a snow lover you’re gonna love this forecast for Charlotte. The NWS is predicting a bigger longer-lasting storm this Thursday through Saturday.
The precipitation will start as rain on Thursday night. The models then say the rain will transition to mix and eventually all snow for most of the area. It’s too early to say how much, and exactly when the storm hits…but there’s a pretty good chance there’s snow on the way this weekend.
Our next weather maker will bring rain for us on Thursday (mountains see snow), but another area of low pressure may form just to our east on Friday and this could help to draw in cold air to bring in more wintry weather. Stay tuned, not a lot of confidence in this just yet. pic.twitter.com/ongidSeykk

Too early for specifics, but eyes are on the end of this week into the weekend as low pressure develops near the southeast US. A cold front will usher in cold air after Thursday, then wintry precip. could occur Friday into Saturday. Stay tuned!@WFXGFOX54 #scwx #gawx #ncwx pic.twitter.com/kQWE7RXWzi

NWP trends the past few days definitely pt to a significant winter storm in the Carolinas late this week, likely in the form of Miller type-B (again). The stronger arctic mass & deeper E US snow cover support even more widespread snow/ice in NC + SC vs this past wknd#ncwx #scwx pic.twitter.com/TMI6cE93g4

So we’ll have to wait this system out. The models should be coming together better in the next 24 hours. Stay tuned snow lovers!
