Shipping Container Wedding Chapel Offers Wedded Bliss On A Budget
Want to have a unique wedding that won’t cost a fortune? Seattle may be the place for you. According to KING 5, The city is home to America’s only shipping container wedding chapel, Shotgun Ceremonies. Owner Bronwen Stevenson recently moved her quickie coupling service to the Georgetown Trailer Park Mall, where it fits right in with the collection of offbeat artisan and craft businesses located in retro trailers.
She told KING 5, the trailer park vibe is a perfect fit for her quirky business, where you can find wedded bliss on a budget. The fresh air setting is ideal for COVID-era couples who want to tie the knot on the cheap. “Something unique and special and memorable that they can do and it’s going to cost them 350 dollars,” Stevenson explains.
Small groups are welcome, and pets are, too. And all the weddings come with an option to include a staple at any Vegas-style quickie wedding – Elvis. Well, an Elvis impersonator, anyway. Shane Cobain, who plays The King, says he can “Knock out three songs and most times they really enjoy it.”
