My PalPal Was Hacked and Their Response Was Not Good
A few weeks ago my wife’s Facebook account was hacked and we didn’t think much about it. My wife and I went to Disney and she said she wished she had her FB page back so she could upload pictures for the family to see. We went on the FB app and tried to recover her account. No luck. See the person who hacked the FB page also changed her recovery password. Good shit! Top line hacker thinking there! So her account is gone, years of memories lost.
What’s makes things worse is our PalPal was connected to her FB page. We noticed some weird activity on our bank account. Sure enough, someone used our PayPal to buy the most random items. A bunch of jewelry, a scooter, a bunch of movie tickets and who knows what from Walmart. It was a large amount.
So I did what anyone would do. I reached out to PayPal and my Bank. My bank was eager to help they deal with this kinda thing all the time. But Paypal told me through messaging that “my transactions were authorized and they could not help me.”
I was not happy with that response. After discussing on the air, I was told by a listener that I need to call Paypal. I’m doing that today. I’ll update you.
In the meantime stay safe in the digital world!
