Bridezilla Rages At Maid Of Honor For Wearing White To Lunch
Wedding planning can be stressful and sometimes it’s enough to push a normally rational bride-to-be into bridezilla territory. That’s what happened to one engaged woman who’s getting married next year and is now furious at her maid of honor after a casual lunch date. The issue? The maid of honor wore a white dress and Joy, the future bride, has called her bestie out for trying to “dull her shine during this special time.”
In a post to Reddit’s “Am I the a-hole” section, the maid of honor explains that she met some friends for lunch and wore an old white linen dress that she’s worn many times before. She didn’t think anything of it until Joy was giving her strange looks and short responses, followed by a bunch of angry texts after lunch ended, saying she was “disappointed” in her friend and couldn’t believe she would try to “dull her shine during this special time.” The maid of honor was confused and pressed her pal to elaborate and Joy revealed that she was furious over her wearing white … to lunch.
But it gets worse! The maid of honor apologized that Joy was so upset, but said she didn’t see how the white dress was a slight on her being a bride and that didn’t go over well. Joy called her a bunch of names and said she has no idea how she picked such an “unsupportive and attention-grabbing” maid of honor. Now she’s asking Reddit if she was in the wrong and pretty much everyone is on her side here. A user asks, “So she expects no one to be allowed to wear white around her until she gets married next year?” And another insists, “Bride doesn’t get a monopoly on white for non-wedding stuff.”
