Lexi Tries A Dessert Popsicle from Morelia Paletas in South End
Morelia Paletas is a brand new dessert place that just opened up this past weekend on April 30th. They sell dessert popsicles that you can dip in all kinds of yummy toppings! I went there on the first day they opened and ended up getting a free popsicle, as a part of an opening day promotion where they gave 1,000 popsicles away for free. When you go, here’s what to expect:
1) Choose a Popsicle Flavor
They have all kinds of flavors of popsicles, including dairy-based ones, like Belgian Chocolate, Dulce de Leche, Oreo Cookies and Cream, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. They also had fruit-based ones, like Mango, Coconut, Passionfruit, Strawberry, Pineapple Mint (would’ve been my 2nd choice!), and Lime.

2) Then, Choose a Dipping
After you choose a flavor of popsicle, you can dip it first into a liquid topping of some kind, including dark chocolate, crunchy hazelnut spread, cookie butter spread, or white chocolate.

3) Finally, Top It!
Then, with the dipping done, you move on to any toppings you want, like peanuts, cookie crumbles, graham crackers, rainbow sprinkles, toasted coconut, pistachios, or fruity pebbles!

My Review
I didn’t try any of the dippings or toppings for this first visit. I know I’m going to be back, so I wanted to try just a plain Belgian Chocolate popsicle first. And I must say, that popsicle SMACKED! For the beautiful day it was on Friday, a fudgesicle is exactly what I needed to complete the day. It was so creamy and rich, just how I like my chocolate. I am excited to try a fruity flavored popsicle next time. Overall, I give a 10/10 recommendation for you to visit Morelia Paletas, especially on a nice sunny, warm day!
