TikTok’s New Makeup Trend Is Dark Circles & Under-Eye Bags
I cringe at the thought of this … but okay!
Tired of spending time and money on concealers to cover up the dark circles under your eyes? Some of us struggle with them every day and have tried pretty much everything to hide them, but if we look to social media trendsetters, maybe we should quit while we’re ahead. Because now some women on TikTok are using makeup to create bags and dark circles under their eyes on purpose.
Makeup and skincare engineer Megha Singh showed off the unusual hack in a video where she’s applying a pinkish-purple shade of makeup under her eyes. She asks, “Can we make dark circles a trend?” and more than 400 folks have commented, with many of them saying they already have them naturally.
Other TikTokers have shared their own take on the trend, like Sara Carstens. She was an early adopter of the look and a video of her applying dark makeup under her eyes has more than 6-million views and 29-thousand comments. “I can give you my dark circles if you want,” one user says, and another thanks her for promoting the look, commenting, “Are we finally making this a trend I’m gonna cry. My bags are huge.”
