Why You Shouldn’t Order Sweet And Sour Chicken At A Chinese Restaurant
Sweet and sour chicken may be a go-to favorite for Chinese food, but it’s not even Chinese food. Yes, there’s a version in China, but it’s super different than what is served here. The actual sauce – sugar and vinegar. Ours? Soy sauce, vinegar, ketchup, and sugar.
Why should you care? Well if you care about your waistline, then you certainly need to scale back the sweet and sour chicken. If you’re actually wanting Chinese cuisine, maybe you should order actual Chinese food and not the American fatty rich version.
