We’ve been storing our ice cream all wrong.
Ben & Jerry’s recently dropped some knowledge on how to store ice cream and it’s just now making the rounds. The biggest threat to our frozen treats is freezer burn… it ruins everything! So here are Ben & Jerry’s tips on keeping it at bay.
- Keep your freezer cold
- Put the lid on tight, seal it in a freezer bag or put parchment paper under the lid
- Flip the container upside down so condensation stays away from the ice cream
- Stick it in the back of the freezer to keep it extra cold
- Instead of scooping it, slice it. The treat won’t melt as fast as if you take the time to scoop
- Eat it all
