State Police to Alice Hyde Medical Center on June 28, 2015 in Constable, New York. Escaped inmate David Sweat has been shot by law enforcement and was put in custody in Constable, NY, north of Malone and near the Canadian border. One driver in California isn’t getting the stench of embarrassment… or manure… off himself easily.

The California Highway Patrol was called by a driver early yesterday morning after he drove his car into a liquid manure storage pond. He didn't realize until he took a big whiff what he’d landed in.

Just so you know, liquid manure has got a much stronger smell than regular animal poop. It took crews 48 minutes to find the now stinky guy and about another hour in the sludge as the driver tried to pull the vehicle out by himself.

It seems alcohol was involved, as the man showed signs of intoxication.
