There is so much to do in Charlotte (& surrounding areas) these days. It seems like every other week a new bar or restaurant opens up. While over the last few years it’s been pretty evident that traditional “night clubs” are going out of style, something that isn’t going out of style is people’s desire to go out and do things.

One way to be social and have a good time? Bowling!

Two Charlotte bowling alleys have just received the ultimate makeover, which marks the debut of the ‘Bowlero concept’ in North Carolina.

The two?

  • The former AMF Carolina Lanes in Matthews
  • Strike City at the Epicentre Uptown

The reasoning for these makeovers and the shift into this new concept comes as a ‘growing number of entertainment options are vying for leisure dollars.’

The pictures of these places look absolutely awesome. A news release described the 50,000 square foot bowling alley as a “sleep, warm, and intimate environment” with 56 black light lanes, lounge seating, floor to ceiling video screens and an arcade.
