The Newest Trend: Momcations

I know being a mom is hard, so it’s understandable that mothers may need a break from their children. Well, it seems a lot of moms are doing just that, thanks to the rise in what’s being called “Momcations.”

A new report from the NYPOST  finds that more and more mothers are opting for solo vacations in order to get time away from their families. In fact, the hashtag #momcation seems to have taken off, with more than 48,000 posts with the hashtag now on Instagram.

Of course, not all moms find it that easy to enjoy a getaway from the family, with some admitting they felt guilt and anxiety at first, but soon learned to relax and enjoy.

Popular destinations include Ireland, Italy, Sweden, Scotland, Florida, upstate New York and apparently the South Pacific.
